MarineLab is not just for groups! We have programs for individuals who want to snorkel with a marine biologist, summer day camps, teacher education programs, and free Family Days.

Snorkel with a Marine Biologist

Let our experienced marine biologist/educators introduce you to the amazing undersea world in our sheltered lagoon in Key Largo!

Participants will be led by a marine biologist the entire time. We will begin by getting an up close (and hands on!) view at some of the critters to be on the lookout for during the snorkel. Then participants will be taught how to use each piece of snorkel equipment and be fitted for snorkel gear (we will adapt this portion to snorkel experience level of participants –experienced snorkelers are welcome!). Snorkel time! After the snorkel, if group is still up for some more science, we will use microscopes to take a closer look at the critters that live in the lagoon that you can’t see while snorkeling.

Our calendar availability is posted three months in advance; if you are interested in dates farther out, please check back later!

Two hour sessions starting at 9:30am and 2:30pm
Price: $53 per person plus tax
Minimum of 2 people, maximum of 6 people.
Ages 8 and up.

Summer Day Camps

Join our day camp filled with fun in the sun, snorkeling, and science for local children that are rising 4th-8th grade students, ages 8-14. (Rising 8th, 9th, or 10th grade students can apply to be Jr Counselors for a week). All days are 9 am - 4 pm

Each day includes..

  • A boat trip to snorkel the mangroves, seagrasses, or coral reef

  • Hands on science discovery labs

  • Lunch

  • Group games and activities

2027 Summer Camp Registration will open in January 2027

If you have previously participated in our summer camp and would like to come back to help us out (AND enjoy another week of camp), please apply to be a Junior Counselor. Once your application has been received and accepted, you will be emailed a link to register for camp. Cost: same as all campers
