MarineLab's Learning Resources Interview an Ecologist Video

Interview an Ecologist Video

$0.00

Grade Level: 9-12

Video 1: For a deeper understanding of ecology, watch this interview with Casey Butler, a lobster biologist in the Florida Keys who explains the connection of FL Bay’s water quality with the health of the lobster population.  Write down any questions you may have.

Video 2: Students from Brown University’s BELL program watched the interview and came up with questions for Casey.  Watch the follow up interview where Casey answers these questions – maybe you had some of the same?  Make sure to watch until the end to get a tour of the research vessel Casey was working on during the Q+A

** These videos would work well for high school students that visited MarineLab and participated in any of our on-site programs.  It will help students build on their understanding of ecology and learn how that knowledge is applied to real scientific research **
